Essential Fuerteventura: From Wild Caves to Golden Dunes

Upon arrival of your cruise, the guide will be waiting for you at the port, identified with the Shore2Shore sign. From here, we begin our excursion aboard an air-conditioned bus, ready to discover the most outstanding treasures of Fuerteventura.

We head towards Ajuy, a picturesque fishing village on the west coast of the island. This place is famous for its impressive natural caves (we will not enter them due to difficult terrain), its majestic cliffs, and its black volcanic sand beach, a unique and captivating landscape. We will have time to stroll and take photos of this wild environment that embodies the natural essence of Fuerteventura.

On our way to the next destination, we will pass through the authentic villages of Tiscamanita, Tuineje and Pájara, each with its unique and picturesque character. We will make a stop at an aloe vera plantation, where we will discover the benefits of this emblematic plant of the Canary Islands. A brief demonstration will show us its traditional and modern uses in cosmetics and health.

We continue towards the Betancuria Rural Park, a protected area full of spectacular landscapes. We will stop at one of its panoramic viewpoints, ideal for enjoying unparalleled views of the valley and mountain, as well as capturing these moments in photographs.

Our next stop is La Vega de Río Palmas, where the Virgin of La Peña, patroness of Fuerteventura, is located. From here, we will head to Betancuria, the first capital of the Canary Islands, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. Its cobbled streets, white houses, and green surroundings make it a charming place.

You will have free time to explore the village, visit the Church of Santa María or the Archaeological Museum (optional entrance on your own). You can also relax on one of the cozy terraces and try the local cuisine.

On the way, we will stop at the Pepe Livestock Farm, where you can taste the famous majorero cheeses, handcrafted with goat’s milk. This experience will be a delight for food lovers.

Our last major stop will be at the spectacular Corralejo Dunes, a unique place where the desert meets the sea. Here you can walk through the dunes, enjoy the landscape, and take photos of one of the most iconic settings of Fuerteventura.

On our return journey, we will pass through the picturesque villages of La Oliva and Tindaya, with views of the majestic Tindaya volcano, full of history and legends of the majorero aborigines.

We will arrive at the port with enough time to comfortably return to your cruise and take with you the memories of an unforgettable experience.
