What you'll do

This walking tour, specially designed for cruise passengers, begins right at the port of Syros, where the guide will be waiting for you, identified by the Shore2Shore sign.

After a brief meeting and welcome, we will start this comprehensive tour designed for you to discover the true essence of the island.

Our tour of Syros offers an immersive experience that combines history, architecture, and unforgettable landscapes.

We will head towards Ermoupoli, the elegant capital of the Cyclades, considered one of the most refined cities in the Aegean. Along the way, you will admire its unique blend of Venetian and neoclassical influences, reflecting its important commercial and cultural past.

During our walk, we will make exterior stops at the main points of interest. We will visit the majestic Church of the Assumption, known for housing a notable work attributed to El Greco, and continue to the Archaeological Museum, one of the oldest in Greece. Opposite it stands the impressive Town Hall, an iconic work by architect Ernst Ziller that dominates the central square.

We will continue our route towards the Apollo Theater, a charming miniature replica of Milan’s Scala, reflecting the island’s cultural passion. Nearby, we will admire the imposing Church of Saint Nicholas, famous for its distinctive blue dome and rich interior decoration.

Finally, we will approach the picturesque Vaporia neighborhood, one of the most photographed areas of Syros. Its elegant neoclassical mansions, built on the seafront, offer a unique view over the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean, perfect for capturing unforgettable memories.

After enjoying this tour full of history, culture, and beauty, we will have time to relax and soak up the local atmosphere or to visit the Museum and/or theater before heading back. We will return to the port for the farewell.
