Fujairah City Tour

Upon arrival of your cruise, our guide will be waiting for you at the port, identified with the Shore2Shore sign.

Enjoy the spectacular views offered by the pristine beaches and rugged mountains of the east coast of Fujairah and Khor Fakkan, on the shores of the Gulf of Oman.

The first stop on our tour itinerary will be the Fujairah Museum and its fascinating collection of local archaeological objects, including exhibits of coins used in Fujairah before the formation of the UAE in 1971. We will stop to take photos at the Fujairah Fort, 300 years old, before visiting the Fujairah Heritage Village.

We will stop at a typical local fish and vegetable market before traveling along the coast to Al Badiya, the oldest mosque in the United Arab Emirates, with two Portuguese watchtowers from 1498 that rise above the mosque and the oasis of the village of Al Badiya. After admiring the exterior of the mosque, we will return to the port of Khor Fakkan.

At the end of the excursion, we will return to the port for the farewell.

SUPPLEMENTS

• Entry to the museum included.  
• Attention: on Fridays some sites may be closed, as it is a sacred day for Muslims. Mosques will be closed not only on Fridays but also on holidays of the Muslim calendar with variable dates.

IMPORTANT

There is a mandatory dress code for entry to the mosques:

• For women: loose long pants, tight-fitting clothing is not allowed, long sleeves, and they must cover their head with a scarf. Entry with stockings, transparent clothing, or white pants is not allowed.
• For men: pants, which can be shorts as long as they cover the knees. Shirts or t-shirts with uncovered shoulders are not allowed.
• Entry in swimwear or inappropriate clothing is prohibited.
• Couples cannot hug inside the Mosque, not even to take a photograph.
• IMPORTANT NOTE: THE ORDER OF THE PLACES TO VISIT MAY VARY WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE DUE TO POSSIBLE EVENTS (BOAT ARRIVAL TIME, OPENING HOURS OF PLACES OF INTEREST, ETC.)
• Shore2Shore is not responsible if the competent authorities deny entry to the mosque due to non-compliance with the dress code. OUR GUIDES do not have clothing to lend, nor do they have clothing for sale or rent.

REMARKS       

• Easy level/Panoramic/Cultural.
• The order of visits may change.
• Due to the large contrasts between the outside temperature and the temperature of the places visited and air-conditioned tourist vehicles, it is recommended to bring a light sweater or jacket for your comfort.
• It is mandatory to wear appropriate clothing in the places of worship that will be visited. 
• Comfortable footwear is advised.
• People with reduced mobility who use wheelchairs must be accompanied by another person who can assist them. We kindly ask that foldable wheelchairs be used, as buses do not have lifts or ramps. Shore2Shore is not responsible if the client does not inform of their situation at the time of booking.
• Mosques will be closed not only on Fridays but also on holidays of the Muslim calendar with variable dates and the following dates: January 1, August 6, November 30, and December 2.
