Visit to Ephesus

Upon arrival at the port of Kusadasi or Izmir, our Shore2Shore guide, identified by their sign, will be waiting to start an exciting excursion to one of the Mediterranean's most important historical treasures.

We will head by bus to the impressive Ancient City of Ephesus, entering through the Magnesia Gate. For approximately two hours, we will explore this millenary city, considered the best-preserved ancient settlement in Turkey and one of the most outstanding in the Mediterranean. Ephesus, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, reflects centuries of history from classical Greece to the Roman Empire, when it became an influential commercial center and one of the earliest hubs of Christianity.

As you stroll along its marble streets, still grooved by the wheels of ancient chariots, you will be amazed by its majestic temples, elegant fountains, detailed frescoes in the adjoining houses, and its magnificent porticoes. Ephesus is a true testament to the grandeur of past civilizations.

Next, we will head to the nearby Temple of Artemis, located just five minutes from Ephesus. Although only ruins remain today, in its time it was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. This temple, originally built by the Ionians and later rebuilt with Roman support after a devastating earthquake, remains a must-see stop to understand the splendor of antiquity.

After this immersion in history, we will return to the port of Kusadasi or Izmir, where we will say goodbye, hoping you have enjoyed an unforgettable day.
