What you'll do
Upon arrival at the port, our guide, identified by the Shore2Shore sign, will be waiting to welcome you.
We will begin our tour at the Bodrum Castle, also known as the Castle of St. Peter. Built in 1402 by the Knights of the Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, it is one of the best examples of military architecture in Turkey. Since 1960, the castle has housed the Underwater Archaeology Museum, unique in the country and renovated in 2019. This museum displays a fascinating collection of artifacts from underwater excavations and shipwrecks near the Turkish coast.
We will continue our visit to the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, an impressive funerary structure built between 353 and 350 BC. Standing 46 meters tall and decorated with magnificent reliefs sculpted by renowned Greek artists, this mausoleum was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Our last stop will be the Theatre of Halicarnassus, a gem from the 4th century BC built by Mausolus. This majestic Greek-style theatre, still well preserved, offers a panoramic view of the city and transports us back to the classical era.
To conclude, you will have free time to enjoy shopping and explore at your own pace.
We will return to the ship to say goodbye with the satisfaction of having explored the treasures of Bodrum together.
