What you'll do
Our Shore2Shore Excursions guide will meet you at the La Goulette Port where we board an air conditioned coach to take a guided tour of the Capital of Tunisia.
Departure from La Goulette Port to the Medina.
On arrival at the Medina, our guests start a guided sightseeing of the narrow streets of the medina crossing the variuos souks of spices, perfumes, jewleries, leather and wool.
From the Medina, the guests drive to Carthage, the famous ancient city founded by queen Dido in the 9th century BC. They view the punic tophet and punic harbours going to Magon district reaching Byrsa hill (heart of the ancient carthage).They also have the opportunity to discover the Roman Amphitheatre and the roman cisterns.
Drive to Sidi bou said where the guests will head towards one of the prettiest villages in Tunisia. Sidi Bou (as called by tunisians) is famous for its moorish architecture with its white houses, blue shutters and coloured bougainvillea. A short walk uphill will bring them to the head of the village which sits proudly at the top of a hill.
After the guided sightseeing of the village, the guests will be given free time.
We will then return to the Port of Tunis so you can re-join your ship for onward passage to your next port of call.
