The Drach Caves

Shore excursion from port of Palma de Mallorca, Spain

  • Duration 5h
  • Activity level low

What you'll do

Upon arrival of your cruise, meet the guide at the port, identified with a Shore2Shore sign.

We will begin our tour heading to the Cuevas del Drach, located on the eastern coast of Mallorca. The caves are one of the main tourist attractions and are undoubtedly some of the most remarkable on the island, featuring a horizontal development close to 1,200 meters in length and a maximum depth of 25 meters below the surface.

Inside the caves lies a large underground lake, the Lago Martel, considered one of the largest underground lakes in the world (177 m long by 30 m wide), where daily classical music concerts are held featuring pieces by Caballero, Chopin, Offenbach, and more. The unparalleled beauty of these caves is enhanced by the lighting designed and implemented by engineer Carlos Buigas.

We will have free time in Porto Cristo, a typical Mallorcan fishing village full of restaurants, bars, and small shops along the entire seafront promenade.

Return to the port at the end of the excursion and farewell.
