The Caves of Drach

Shore excursion from port of Palma de Mallorca, Spain

  • Duration 5h
  • Activity level low

What you'll do

Upon arrival of your cruise, meet your guide at the port.

We will begin our tour towards the Drach Caves, located on the eastern coast of Mallorca. The caves are one of the island’s main tourist attractions and undoubtedly among its most remarkable natural sites, featuring a horizontal extension of approximately 1,200 meters and a maximum depth of 25 meters below the surface.

Inside the caves lies a large underground lake, Lake Martel, considered one of the largest underground lakes in the world (177 m long and 30 m wide). Here, visitors can enjoy daily classical music concerts featuring pieces by Caballero, Chopin, Offenbach, and others. The unique beauty of these caves is enhanced by the stunning lighting design created by engineer Carlos Buigas.

We will then enjoy free time in Porto Cristo, a typical Mallorcan fishing village filled with restaurants, bars, and small shops along its charming seafront promenade.

At the end of the excursion, we will return to the port and say farewell.
