Lanzarote Los Jameos del Agua and the North of the Island
Shore excursion from port of Arrecife, Spain
- Duration 5h
- Activity level low
What you'll do
Upon the arrival of your cruise, we will depart from the port of Arrecife accompanied by our guide heading towards the north of the island.
Our first stop will be in the picturesque town of Teguise, the former capital of Lanzarote, where we will stroll through its charming cobbled streets, admire its church and enjoy the traditional atmosphere of this historic village.
We will continue the tour passing through the village of Los Valles until we reach Haría, known as the "Valley of a Thousand Palm Trees", where we will stop to admire the lush palm grove that surrounds it.
From Haría we will head to a natural viewpoint located in a privileged natural setting with magnificent views of the valley.
We will continue our route towards the Jameos del Agua, one of the most emblematic works of César Manrique. It is a volcanic cave transformed into a unique space that combines nature, art and architecture. During the journey, we will be able to see the Corona Volcano from the bus.
On the way back to the port, we will pass through the villages of Mala and Guatiza, where from the bus we will be able to admire the prickly pear plantations that serve as habitat for the cochineal, an insect used to obtain a natural dye.
IMPORTANT: The entrance to Jameos del Agua is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users, as there are stairs and sections of uneven volcanic stone flooring.
The order of the visits may vary depending on the day's operations.
