What you'll do
Upon arrival of your cruise, the guide will be waiting for you at the port, identified with the Shore2Shore sign.
We will board the bus to head south of the island towards our first stop; the imposing San Antonio Volcano, which in 1677 furiously buried the spring, internationally known at the time as Fuente Santa, which had become the tourist engine of the area. We will walk (about 30 minutes) over the volcano’s cone to a viewpoint where we will enjoy views of the Teneguía Volcano, the Roque Teneguía, a landscape of vineyards, and the sea. Additionally, we will enter the San Antonio Volcano Visitor Center, a very interesting visit where we will even enjoy 3D images of the sun, thanks to the NASA TESS Solar Telescope.
The Visitor Center also offers a café service with sea views.
Next, we will make another short stop at Las Manchas to appreciate the ongoing transformation of “La Isla Bonita” by observing the recent landscape of the Tajogaite Volcano (Cumbre Vieja). On the way back, we will observe from the bus some houses that were affected by the recent eruptions, on our way to the next stop.
The Church Square of Tajuya: This place became an improvised viewpoint during the eruption of the Tajogaite Volcano in 2021. Today, it is a well-known observation point from where we can contemplate the volcano and its impressive lava flow. Here, the magnitude of the eruption and the natural beauty combine, offering a unique visual and emotional experience.
On the way back to the port, we will cross the Cumbre de la Palma enjoying unique panoramas until we reach our last stop, The Concepción Viewpoint, located at the southern end of a crater declared a Natural Monument that offers unbeatable views of Santa Cruz de La Palma, the Marina, and the Valley of Las Breñas.
At the end of the excursion, we will finish right next to the tourist information point. This location will allow us to enjoy some extra free time in Santa Cruz de La Palma and take a brief tour of the city’s historic center. From there, each person can return at their own pace and easily reach the pier by following the blue line, as it is only a five-minute walk and the access is very simple.
