Fuerteventura, the Majorera Island
Shore excursion from port of Fuerteventura, Spain
- Duration 7h
- Activity level low
What you'll do
Pickup at the Puerto del Rosario pier upon your cruise arrival by our guide, and departure towards the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park, a protected area covering more than 2,600 hectares, classified as a natural park in 1994.
Next, we will make a short stop at the Corralejo tourist pier.
We continue our journey through the town of La Oliva heading towards Betancuria. We will stop at Pepe’s farm where we can taste the famous Fuerteventura cheeses. In Betancuria, the island’s former capital, we will have time to see the church and visit the Casa de Santa María (closed on Sundays, in which case we visit the Santa María Church instead) — a beautiful 17th-century country house restored. Located in the historic center of Betancuria, opposite the old Santa María church, it was rebuilt by the German-born photographer and designer Reiner Loos after years of intense work. The visit includes a multi-vision audiovisual presentation projected on a large panoramic screen showing us the last intact and hidden beauties of Fuerteventura.
We will enjoy free time in Betancuria before continuing with a brief panoramic visit to the town of Pájara and making a stop at the Aloe Vera factory in Tiscamanita.
At the end of the excursion, return to the port and farewell.
The order of the places to visit may vary without prior notice due to possible contingencies (ship arrival time, opening hours of places of interest, etc.).
