- Duration 6h
- Activity level low
What you'll do
The guide will be waiting for you at the port, identified with the Shore2shore sign.
The Geirangerfjord is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful fjords in Norway. Impressive slopes and numerous waterfalls make this landscape a unique place.
At the beginning of these 9 miles long of the fjord is the small town of Geiranger, where we will begin today's excursion. We will begin our tour leaving behind several hotels and houses, as well as the small octagonal wooden church dating from 1842.
We will continue our tour of the Eagle Bend road and make a short stop to admire some breathtaking views. We will stop at the cliff of the Flydal Gorge to take pictures. We will enjoy the view of the Geiranger mountain and the surrounding mountains. A perfect place to photograph this splendid environment.
We continue towards Lake Djupvatn located at 1,030 meters above sea level, usually covered with snow until the end of June and when it is free of ice it has an intense blue color. We go to the Jostedalsbreen Center where we will stop for 30 minutes approximately.
We continue until the next stop in the village of Stryn; a picturesque typical mountain town. Here we find one of the best rivers in Norway for salmon fishing. We will have free time for lunch and rest (approximately 1 hour stop). On clear days Mount Dalsnibba will be the backdrop of our magnificent excursion.
We will begin the descent enjoying the extraordinary beauty of the landscape until we reach the port of Geiranger again, where the excursion ends.
