Oslo is the capital of Norway and is located in the heart of Scandinavia. It is one of the oldest cities in this region and the only one with an urban settlement dating back to the age of the Vikings.

The city is beautifully situated between the Oslo Fjord and the green wooded hills. The entire inner part of the Oslo Fjord is being redeveloped as part of the expansion of Fjordbyen (the Fjord City), a project aimed at opening the city to the fjord.

It is one of the greenest and most ecological cities in the world, offering everything expected of a major city: a rich cultural life, shopping opportunities, and a restaurant scene unmatched throughout Scandinavia.

After leaving the port, we will begin a panoramic tour passing through the main streets and squares of Oslo: the City Hall, the political and administrative headquarters of the Norwegian capital, it is one of the most emblematic buildings of the capital and the place where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded each year. The Parliament (Storting), inaugurated on March 5, 1866, and home to the Norwegian National Assembly, is a place worth visiting to enjoy its surroundings, filled with gardens and beautiful flowers. The National Theatre, located in the center of Oslo, is one of Norway’s most important architectural and cultural landmarks, opened in 1899 and situated between a grand avenue and the busy Karl Johans Gate street, near the Royal Palace and the old university. It is a neoclassical building whose interior houses elements of Art Nouveau, highlighted by the fine paintings on the auditorium ceiling. Finally, we will approach the Royal Residence.

Next, we will visit Vigeland Park to admire the works of the famous sculptor it is named after, with more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite, and wrought iron symbolizing the different stages of human life.

At the end of the excursion, we will return to the port for the farewell.
