Flam, the most beautiful panoramas in the world

Shore excursion from port of Flam, Norway

  • Duration 4h
  • Activity level low

What you'll do

Upon arrival of your cruise at the port of Flåm, our Shore2Shore guide will be waiting for you with an identification sign.

We will begin a panoramic drive towards Gudvangen, passing through the spectacular Nærøy Valley, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005. This unique landscape, with its serenity and majesty, will take your breath away.

Our journey will take us to Stalheim, a 300-meter-high cliff offering an incomparable view of the Nærøy Valley and the imposing Jordalsnuten mountain, also known as “Sugarlump.” Without a doubt, this is one of the most striking landscapes — a place that will remain etched in your memory.

We will continue our route alongside the picturesque Oppheim Lake and make a stop at Tvinde fossen, where you can admire the impressive waterfall cascading amidst lush nature. This natural spectacle is one of the most breathtaking sights you can imagine.

We will travel again through the Nærøy Valley, this time in the opposite direction, to reach the charming village of Gudvangen. From there, you will enjoy views of its picturesque valley, the wooden bridge crossing the mountain stream, and the mouth of the fjord — a unique image that reflects the grandeur of Nordic nature. At the Gudvangen Hotel, you can relax with a coffee or enjoy some free time to admire the scenery.

Before returning to Flåm, and if time permits, we will make a panoramic stop at Flåm Church, an architectural relic built entirely of wood in 1670.

At the end of this excursion filled with nature and excitement, we will return to the port of Flåm to bid farewell.

Thank you for choosing Shore2Shore. We hope you have enjoyed a day full of wonders and unforgettable memories!
