Érice, with its mystical atmosphere, envelops you with its cobbled streets and flowered courtyards. Legend has it that the son of the goddess of love, Venus, founded this town after erecting a temple in her honor. Since then, the blend of mythology and history has left an indelible mark on this charming locality.
We will begin our visit at the Porta Trapani, the historic entrance to the town, next to the imposing Mother Church, dating back to the 14th century and a prominent example of Sicilian medieval architecture.
As we walk through the winding streets, you will have the opportunity to explore local craft shops, where you will find traditional products such as typical sweets and decorative ceramics.
We will visit the Balio Gardens and the majestic Castle of Venus, located on the site that once housed the ancient acropolis and the legendary temple dedicated to the goddess. The views from this point are simply spectacular.
The tour concludes at the main square, where you will have free time to enjoy the magical atmosphere and capture the unique essence of Érice.
Finally, we will return by bus to the port of Trapani, where we will say goodbye after a day full of Sicilian history and beauty.
