Portofino

Portofino is a fusion of colors, tranquility, and sea… lose yourself among the charming alleys of this little fishing village on the Italian Riviera with this tour for cruise passengers.

Take advantage of your cruise stopover in Savona, the port from which the bus departs with our Shore2Shore guide, heading towards Rapallo, a small town on the Ligurian coast.

The first stop will be to visit the magnificent church Chiesa di Santo Stefano (Oratorio dei Neri). Located in the heart of Rapallo’s historic center, this church is an outstanding example of local religious architecture.

We will head to the town center, where we will have free time to stroll among the typical little shops and learn more about this picturesque place.

A 15-minute ferry ride to Portofino offers us a unique panoramic view of the Portofino promontory, declared a Natural Park since 1935.

Portofino is a town steeped in maritime traditions, and here we find numerous places of cultural interest. Upon arrival in Portofino, our local guide will accompany us to the Church of San Giorgio, dedicated to the town’s protector “Saint George” and built in the 12th century. Its interior houses relics brought by sailors returning from the Crusades.

From here we can admire Castello Brown, a fortress amidst a fantastic hanging garden, and the entire gulf that surrounds the beautiful and colorful houses of Portofino.

We will enjoy free time to explore the alleys of Portofino at our own pace and visit the exclusive brand shops located around the bay.

On returning to Rapallo, we will board our coach again to return to the port of Savona.

• This excursion is NOT SUITABLE for people with reduced mobility or those requiring the use of a wheelchair due to uneven terrain. Transportation for this tour is not adapted.
