Pompeii: A Journey Through Time with Virtual Reality

Upon arrival at the port, our guide will welcome you, identified by the Shore2Shore sign, and together we will embark on a unique journey through time.

Thanks to Virtual Reality, you will relive daily life in Pompeii before the fateful eruption of 79 AD, exploring its streets, buildings, and customs with an astonishing level of detail.

We begin our tour at the Quadriporticus, an impressive colonnaded courtyard that was originally a meeting place and later became a training school for gladiators. From there, we will head to the Large Theatre, where you can experience the thrill of a theatrical performance just as in ancient Rome, in a setting that still preserves its majesty.

Our walk takes us through the luxurious residences of the Pompeian elite, starting with the House of the Menander, an elegant example of Roman architecture adorned with refined frescoes and details. Next, we will visit the House of the Faun, one of the city’s most opulent homes, famous for its magnificent mosaics and grand structure.

Continuing our immersion in Pompeii’s daily life, we will stop at the bakery and mills, where we will discover how bread—an essential food of the time—was made. Later, we will explore the Stabian Baths, one of the oldest bath complexes, walking through its various rooms such as the entrance and the tepidarium, while learning about the importance of bathing in Roman society.

The tour will also take us to an intriguing aspect of the city: Pompeii’s nightlife. At the Lupanar, the most famous brothel of the era, we will explore both its interior and exterior, learning about the details of this particular establishment. This stop is cultural and educational, focused on daily life and customs in the ancient Roman Empire.
This part of the tour is not recommended for minors or for people sensitive to this type of content. When traveling with children, it will be the sole responsibility of the accompanying adult to decide whether or not to participate in this activity.

From there, we will move on to the heart of the city, the Forum, where the most important temples and administrative buildings were located.

We will end our experience at the Basilica, an imposing building that once served as a center of justice and commerce. Through Virtual Reality, you will be able to admire its original structure and understand its importance in the public life of ancient Pompeii.

After this fascinating journey into the past, we will return to the port for our farewell.
