Genoa City
Shore excursion from port of Genoa or Savona, Italy
- Duration 5h
- Activity level low
What you'll do
Our Shore2Shore guide will meet you at the Port where we board an air-conditioned coach to take a guided tour to Genoa.
We will go first to the Castelletto Belvedere, a true panoramic balcony overlooking the old town before enjoying a panoramic tour by coach to see different neighborhoods as Manin, Corvetto, Brignole, Piazza Vittoria or Dante Square or the famous Casa de Colón.
We will leave the coach for a stroll along the Via XX September and between the medieval alleys of the old Vegetable Market to reach the Ducal Palace, St Jesus Church (exterior), St Lawrence Cathedral (exterior), a true parade of architectural styles from the 11th century to the 20th century.
From the Ferrari Square, commercial and economic heart of the city dominated by the magnificent and monumental Bronze Fountain, the Stock Exchange and the elegant Opera House "Carlo Felice" we will reach the Via Garibaldi, elegant baroque avenue with its palaces built five centuries ago and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2006.
To finish the excursion we will walk through the Old Port, which dates back to the 16th century and which houses the Genoa Aquarium, among the largest in Europe. Here our coach awaits us to return to the cruise terminal, ending the excursion.
