Discover some of the most stunning landscapes of eastern Iceland on this scenic tour from Seyðisfjörður to the spectacular Stuðlagil Canyon.
We will begin our journey in the colorful town of Seyðisfjörður, located at the end of one of Iceland’s most beautiful fjords. From there, we will ascend the picturesque mountain road of Fjarðarheiði, enjoying the extraordinary landscapes that characterize this region.
Our first stop will be Gufufoss, a beautiful waterfall located on the outskirts of Seyðisfjörður and one of the most iconic spots along the mountain pass route.
We will continue crossing Fjarðarheiði until we reach Egilsstaðir, the main service center of eastern Iceland. From here, we will venture inland, traveling through the varied landscapes of the peaceful Icelandic countryside.
Along the way, we will stop at the Rjúkandi waterfall, an impressive waterfall located right by the road and surrounded by the beautiful natural environment of eastern Iceland.
The highlight of our excursion will be the extraordinary Stuðlagil Canyon, known for its imposing basalt columns and spectacular scenery. We will have time to admire the canyon from its viewpoints, take photographs, and discover one of the most emblematic natural sites in this region of Iceland.
After visiting Stuðlagil, we will begin the return journey through the eastern Icelandic countryside. We will pass again through Egilsstaðir, cross Fjarðarheiði, and descend back to the beautiful Seyðisfjörður, where our excursion will conclude.
