Zakinthos Panoramic Tour
Shore excursion from port of Zakynthos, Greece
- Duration 5h
- Activity level medium
What you'll do
Our guide will be waiting for you at the port, identified with the Shore2shore sign to begin the itinerary tour.
We leave the port heading up the southwest coast of the island to reach the first stop (for photos) of the excursion, where we will see the famous bell tower SANTA IGLESIA DE AGIOS NIKOLAOS DE 1893 KOILIOMENO.
We will continue our tour and the second stop (also for photos) will be at EXO CHORA, where we will see one of the oldest olive trees in Greece. The olive tree is over 2000 years old and has branched into two, a millenary tree that is both monstrous and fascinating.
From there, we will continue our journey towards Vromi Port, stopping on the way for the third stop (for photos) to see Vromi port from above.
We will continue towards the port, Maries, the village dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene, from where we will depart on an impressive boat ride to the famous Navagio beach or Shipwreck, where we will have the privilege to reach it by boat and enjoy a stop to take photos.
We enter the famous Shipwreck cove, which is undoubtedly the most famous spectacle of Zante, also known by its Greek name "Navagio," as well as "Smugglers Cove."
The shipwreck lies in the middle of a beautiful bay of white pebbles, surrounded by white cliffs that look like they have been bleached, and the blue sea.
After returning from Navagio/Shipwreck beach, we will stop to take photos at some of the beautiful blue caves and enjoy the unique profile of Poseidon and the Heart Cave on an unforgettable coastal tour.
Next, returning from our spectacular coastal tour, we will head to the Monastery of Panagia Anafonitria in Zakynthos, which will be our last stop before returning to the port.
The Holy Monastery of Theotokos (Panagia) Anafonitria, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, is a Byzantine monument of interesting architecture, founded in the mid-15th century.
From there, we return to the port of Zakynthos descending along the northeast coast, thus enjoying a panoramic view of the entire island. We will finish at the port to board the cruise and say farewell.
