Upon arrival of your cruise, the guide will be waiting for you at the port, identified with the Shore2Shore sign.
We will board the bus to begin our route along the coastline at the foot of the city, preceded by “El Serallo,” a colorful fishermen’s neighborhood and economic engine for those who have fished these waters for generations; leaving the coast behind heading towards “La Parte Alta,” its historic center, which preserves the remains of Ancient Tarraco.
Tarraco was the capital of the largest province of the Roman Empire, and as such, it was equipped with structures that expressed the power of Rome and which we can still enjoy today. We continue along the Walls, the oldest Roman architectural construction preserved outside Italy, which shelters the Old Town. We will stroll along its most emblematic street that will lead us to the Cathedral, the most important medieval building in the city.
We will continue through its millenary streets towards the Provincial Forum, the Pretorium Tower, and "The Circus," possibly the best-preserved Roman circus in Europe. We will see The Fountain Square flanked by the town hall.
We will descend towards the Balcón del Mediterráneo and its incredible views of the imperial Amphitheater, ending by the sea, where we will conclude our excursion.
We will return to the port for the farewell.
