What you'll do

Upon arrival of your cruise, our assistant will welcome you, identified with the Shore2Shore sign.

We will begin our visit in Rostock, a Hanseatic city with nearly 800 years of history that has managed to preserve much of its old charm. This university and port city, with its vibrant cultural life, is marked by the allure of the sea and the tradition of the Hanseatic League, making it a fascinating destination to explore.

During our tour of Rostock, we will stop at the city’s most important church, St. Mary’s Church, famous for its impressive astronomical clock dating from 1472, which still works to this day.

We will also visit St. Peter’s Church, another of the city’s religious landmarks that offers a fine example of the region’s Gothic architecture.

We will continue our walk through the historic center, where we can admire the New Market, a lively square that houses the historic Rostock Town Hall.

This square is also home to the University of Rostock, one of the oldest universities in Germany, founded in 1419, which continues to play a major role in the city’s life and student atmosphere.

The architecture of Rostock is one of its most attractive features, with a remarkable contrast of styles ranging from Gothic to Renaissance and Baroque. You will see how the facades of the houses in the center reflect these different periods, giving the city a picturesque and historical feel.

After exploring Rostock, we will head to the charming seaside resort of Warnemünde, a picturesque coastal destination on the Baltic Sea.

In Warnemünde, we will enjoy its wide white sandy beaches and its seaside promenades offering spectacular views of the sea.

The fish market is another highlight of Warnemünde, with its colorful fishermen’s houses, rustic restaurants serving local fish delicacies, fishing boats, and romantic sailboats that give the place a picturesque and authentic atmosphere.

We will conclude our visit with a deep sense of having experienced both the rich history of Rostock and the refreshing maritime atmosphere of Warnemünde.

After the excursion, we will return to the port to say goodbye and continue our journey.
