Join us on a fascinating journey through the picturesque German countryside as we take a comfortable one-and-a-half-hour transfer to Lübeck, one of the jewels of northern Germany.
Lübeck, founded in 1143 as the first "western city on the Baltic Sea coast" and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a city full of history that still preserves the spirit of its glorious past as a prominent member of the Hanseatic League.
We will explore its charming and well-preserved 19th-century alleys, where the medieval atmosphere blends with the elegance of its hidden courtyards, evoking the times when Lübeck was a prosperous trading center.
We will marvel at the iconic Holsten Gate, one of the most famous in Europe, and the seven towers that dominate the city’s five churches.
We will visit the Hospital of the Holy Spirit, founded in 1280, and the imposing St. Mary’s Church, which houses the largest mechanical organ in the world.
We will also enjoy some free time to savor a typical German lunch (not included), allowing us to taste the local cuisine and immerse ourselves even more in the culture of this fascinating city.
Finally, after saying goodbye to our guide in Lübeck, we will begin our return to Kiel for our farewell.
