Visit Nice and Eze, alternative tour on F1 days

Upon arrival of your cruise, our guide will be waiting for you at the port identified with a sign.

We will leave the port and head towards Nice via the highway. The city of Nice is a natural amphitheater in the BAIE DES ANGES.

Upon our arrival, we will take a panoramic tour of the center of Nice, passing through the Avenue of the English built in 1822 as a road along the seashore from where you are going to be able to admire all the old English palaces built in the XIX century and converted into hotels and apartments.

We will then cross the Bay of Angels passing in front of the Mediterranean Palace with its Art Deco facade of female figures and seahorses, converted into a luxury hotel, casino and show hall. We will also contemplate the famous Hotel Negresco where so many nobles and famous people have stayed including kings of all Europe. Later, we will go to the Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Nicolas (exterior visit) continuing through the old town on a pedestrian visit crossing the ALBERT GARDENS

We will enjoy a beautiful walk through the main square of Nice Place Massena which is located between Old Nice and the most modern part of the city with its red facades and blue shutters that offer the typical image of the region. The fountain that represents various Greek myths in the center of which stands a seven-meter-high (23 feet) statue of Apollo. Opaque statues of kneeling men representing the seven continents stand on tall poles along the tram, a modern work of art by Catalan artist Jaume Plensa.

We will pass through the Palace of Justice built in the neoclassical style at the end of the 19th century and the Sainte Réparate Cathedral until we reach Cours Saleya for a free visit to the Flower Market (please note it is closed on Mondays).

After this journey, we will continue by bus to Eze, one of the most picturesque and impressive towns on the Côte d'Azur. A double fortified gate from the 14th century allows us to enter the old town of Eze and walk through the narrow cobblestone streets. Here we can visit the castle and its stunning views of the sea and the mountains.

We will visit the typical Fragonard perfume factory to discover the secrets of the manufacture of the best perfumes and natural cosmetics in the region.

After enjoying some free time, we will return to the port for boarding once the excursion is over.

• This excursion is NOT SUITABLE for people with reduced mobility, those who require the use of a wheelchair, scooters, strollers for babies or scooters, due to uneven terrain, cobblestone streets, narrow and/or very crowded streets. The transportation used for this tour is not adapted.

PLEASE note that the cruise ship will not dock at the port, it will anchor outside of the port.

An assisting ferry will be used to take passengers from cruise to land and back. This assisting ferries have a 60-80 passenger capacity. One assisting ferry leaves every 10-15 minutes and takes about 20 minutes to dock at port.

PLEASE try to get to the port as soon as possible to avoid tour delays, we recommend to coordinate ahead of time with onboard cruise line personnel to guarantee space on first ferry.

Our guide will be waiting for you outside of the port terminal identified with the group name and a sign.

Please do not attempt to find the bus by yourself, just wait at the meeting location. Please locate our personnel and they will guide you to the bus.
