What you'll do

Upon the arrival of your cruise, our guide will be waiting for you at the indicated meeting point, holding the Shore2Shore sign, to begin together a complete visit of Marseille, a vibrant Mediterranean city where history, maritime tradition and a strong artistic and multicultural character coexist.

We propose a complete visit to discover the most emblematic places of Marseille, one of the most vibrant and Mediterranean cities in France.

We will begin the day with a pleasant walk through the picturesque Le Panier district, the old town of the city. Its narrow streets, colorful façades, craft workshops and small cafés create a unique atmosphere full of history.

We will then head to the impressive Palais Longchamp, one of the most beautiful monuments in Marseille. You will enjoy a photo stop and free time in its gardens, an exceptional setting with fountains and monumental architecture that leaves no visitor indifferent.

We will continue with a panoramic bus tour along the Corniche Kennedy, the city's most famous coastal road. From here you can enjoy wonderful views of the Frioul Archipelago and the famous Château d’If, immortalized in the novel The Count of Monte Cristo.

If bus accessibility allows, we will make a photo stop at Vallon des Auffes, a traditional and charming fishing port that preserves its authentic local character.

Our next stop will be the Abbey of Saint-Victor, from whose esplanade there are incredible views towards the Fort Saint-Jean and Fort Saint-Nicolas, which guard the entrance to the port. If it is not possible to access this area, the visit will be replaced by an exterior stop to admire the Cathedral of Sainte-Marie-Majeure, known for its Byzantine-style architecture.

We will continue with a walk through the Vieux Port (Old Port), the heart of maritime life in Marseille, recently renovated by architect Norman Foster. Here you can admire the famous structure L’Ombrerie, with its lively atmosphere, traditional boats and pleasant seafront promenade.

Afterwards, you will have free time to stroll, shop or enjoy the local gastronomy at one of the harbor terraces.

Finally, we will meet again at the indicated time for the return to the port by bus, guaranteeing punctual arrival back to the ship.

The order of the stops may vary depending on traffic conditions. Marseille hosts numerous cultural and sporting events that may cause occasional closures or unforeseen diversions.

Shore2Shore reserves the right to modify the itinerary and/or duration of the tour in the event of incidents related to urban mobility, always with the aim of offering the best possible experience according to local conditions.
