What you'll do

Upon arrival of your cruise, our guide will be waiting for you at the designated meeting point, holding the Shore2Shore sign, to begin together a comprehensive tour of Marseille, a vibrant Mediterranean city where history, maritime tradition, and a strong artistic and multicultural character coexist.

We offer you a complete visit to discover the most emblematic places of Marseille, one of the most vibrant and Mediterranean cities in France.

We will start the day with a pleasant walking tour through the picturesque Le Panier neighborhood, the old town of the city. Its narrow streets, colorful facades, artisan workshops, and small cafés create a unique atmosphere full of history.

Next, we will head to the imposing Longchamp Palace, one of the most beautiful monuments in Marseille. You will enjoy a photo stop and free time in its gardens, a spectacular setting with fountains and monumental architecture that leaves no visitor indifferent.

We will continue with a scenic bus tour along the Corniche Kennedy, the city’s most famous coastal road. From here, you can enjoy wonderful views of the Frioul Archipelago and the famous Château d’If, immortalized by the novel The Count of Monte Cristo.

If bus accessibility allows, we will make a photo stop at Vallon des Auffes, a traditional and charming fishing port that retains its local character intact.

Our next stop will be the Abbaye Saint-Victor, from whose esplanade you can get incredible views of the Saint-Jean and Saint-Nicolas forts, which guard the entrance to the port. If access to this area is not possible, the visit will be replaced by an exterior stop to admire the Cathedral of Sainte-Marie-Majeure, known for its Byzantine architecture.

We will continue with a walking tour through the Old Port (Vieux Port), the center of Marseille’s maritime life, recently renovated by architect Norman Foster. Here you can admire the famous structure L’Ombrerie, with its lively atmosphere, traditional boats, and pleasant seaside promenade.

Afterwards, you will have free time to stroll, shop, or enjoy the local cuisine at one of the port’s terraces.

Finally, we will meet at the indicated time for the return to the port by bus, ensuring a timely return to the ship.

**The order of stops may vary depending on traffic conditions; Marseille hosts numerous sporting and cultural events that may cause temporary closures or unexpected detours.**
