Upon arrival of your cruise, the guide will be waiting for you at the port, identified with the Shore2Shore sign.
We will begin this fascinating tour of Aarhus Bay, a picturesque port that reflects the city's importance as the main port center of Denmark, located on the Jutland peninsula. Aarhus, with a population of approximately 300,000 inhabitants, is the second largest city in the country and one of the oldest, surrounded by beautiful forest landscapes and a vibrant transport hub.
Our walk will continue through the charming old town, where we will explore the historic Latin Quarter neighborhood. Here, the cobblestone streets, medieval wooden houses, and ancient churches will transport us back centuries.
The next stop will be the impressive Aarhus Cathedral, built in the 12th century and dedicated to Saint Clement, patron saint of sailors. This emblematic temple stands out not only for its architecture but also for the fascinating frescoes and altarpiece it houses inside, witnesses to the city’s rich religious history.
Our tour will conclude with a relaxing stroll through the historic streets of Aarhus, from Aros to the port. At the end of the excursion, we will return to the starting point, but those who wish to continue exploring the old town can do so at their own pace and return on foot.
We hope you enjoy this unique and enriching tour. See you soon!
